10 Year Limited Warranty

AHT Shutter Services warrants that the shutter system we install, along with each component, will be free from defects in material and workmanship. AHT Shutter Services will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace any defect not covered under the “Excluded Causes” outlined below, in accordance with Table 1.

If a defect occurs that is not caused by an excluded cause as defined herein, and the warranty holder is not in default on any obligation to AHT Shutter Services, we will honor the warranty as per Table 1, starting from the date of installation completion. Any charges to you will be based on our current price list. This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

NOTE: Scaffolding and special equipment charges will be covered by AHT Shutter Services at 100% from the date of the original installation completion until the first anniversary. After that period, in addition to labor costs, hard costs related to the transportation, setup, and rental of any necessary high-reach equipment—such as ladder jacks, pipe scaffolding, swing stages, cherry pickers, bosun chairs, or any other special equipment deemed necessary by AHT Shutter Services—will be added to the customer’s labor charges.

Hurricane shutters, like other outdoor permanent fixtures, require regular cleaning and maintenance to remain in good working condition. It is recommended that shutters be maintained annually by AHT Shutter Services and regularly cleaned to stay free of debris. Failure to perform regular maintenance may result in voiding of this warranty as outlined in Section 5 of the provisions below.

For the purposes of this limited warranty, “excluded causes” include: Acts of God (hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, floods, lightning, earthquakes), building settlement, accidental or intentional damage, malfunction or failure caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications, the use of non-AHT parts, mishandling, unreasonable use, and failure to perform necessary maintenance.

Notwithstanding any contrary provisions herein the following conditions shall not be deemed to be defects covered by this limited warranty. 1. Normal weathering of any painted surface. 2 Water seepage through the closed shutter system during strong wind and rain. 3. The failure of multiple shutters operated in tandem off a single control to align horizontally when raised and lowered. 4. Failure of punches in vented shutters to block all light. Negligence through misuse or failure to maintain the shutters in normal, operable conditions. 6. Work performed by others and or the addition of parts not authorized by AHT Shutter Services will void this warranty.

Except as outlined in this limited warranty, AHT Shutter Services makes no additional warranties. Any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose will expire on the first anniversary of the installation date. AHT Shutter Services is not liable for any consequential or incidental damages arising from any breach of this warranty.
